True Load Time is a web and mobile platform tackling one of logistics’ most persistent challenges: truckload detention. By creating the first independent, nationwide database of facility wait times, TLT gives drivers, fleets, and shippers visibility into how long trucks wait at pickup and drop-off locations, helping optimize schedules, minimize downtime, and increase profitability.
As the platform evolved, TLT needed to move beyond its MVP to a robust, scalable version 2.0. The goal was to support commercial growth, retain existing customers, and maintain investor confidence—but the company required a product partner who could deliver end-to-end technical leadership, improve the user experience, and scale the platform effectively.
The opportunity
While the MVP validated the market need, the platform had limitations that threatened growth. Users struggled with outdated UI/UX, slow searches, fragmented infrastructure, and limited analytics. The absence of an internal technical team meant TLT required an end-to-end product partner to translate business goals into execution.
Key challenges included:
- Outdated interface: Difficult navigation for frequent users and power users.
- Limited search performance: Slow or inaccurate results that undermined user trust.
- Fragmented infrastructure: Needed migration from AWS to Microsoft Azure for scalability and enterprise alignment.
- No internal technical team: TLT lacked engineering, design, or DevOps leadership.
- Lack of analytics: Limited insights for both users and internal stakeholders.
Failure to address these issues risked customer churn, delayed fundraising, and stalled product credibility.

The solution
Dualboot engaged as a strategic partner, not just a development team. The collaboration began with a deep discovery phase to evaluate the MVP, align on 2.0 priorities, and sequence work across infrastructure, UX, backend, and analytics. Leveraging prior experience in logistics technology, Dualboot understood both user behavior and industry-specific challenges.
The implementation included:
- Infrastructure & Architecture: Migrated from AWS to Microsoft Azure to enhance scalability and performance.
- UI/UX Overhaul: Redesigned mobile and web interfaces with streamlined navigation, landing page improvements, and better data presentation.
- Feature & Algorithm Enhancements: Improved search speed and accuracy, ranking facilities by historical wait times and reliability.
- Analytics & Admin Tools: Built dashboards to monitor KPIs such as average wait times and location trends, while enhancing admin workflows.
- QA & Deployment: Structured sprint-based QA cycles with automated and manual testing, followed by UAT to ensure readiness for launch.
A cross-functional team of 10–12 professionals maintained close collaboration via Slack, GitHub, and Zoom, ensuring transparency, responsiveness, and momentum. Beyond technical delivery, Dualboot also facilitated introductions to logistics stakeholders and potential investors, supporting TLT’s credibility and growth trajectory.
“Dualboot developed a solid plan in the beginning and executed the plan on time and budget.”
